US Troops giving aid in Haiti
Haiti-ravaged earthquake had seen a flow of international troops, including American, that helped in the relief efforts. Now that the situation seems to be somewhat stabilizing to its preexisting nightmare, US troops are leaving. Haitians are nervous of that prospect, unsure whether or not the commitment to Haiti will remain.
There is a serious fear of disengagement, as reported in this Associated Press article. Will Haiti remain under the international radar, or will the rest of the world once again forget about the nation in seemingly permanent trouble and chaos?
