Map of Latin America and the Caribbean
A group of more than 30 nations from the Latin American and Caribbean nations are meeting today in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, to discuss the real possibility of an alternative group to the Organization of American States (OAS). That group is different from the current OAS, because it is not including the United States or Canada as potential members.
The 30-nation summit has for other goals, unity of purpose, as they are considering as well whether to recognize the new president of Honduras as the legitimate leader of that country. Read the full story here, picked from the CNN website.
